Amazing Small Business Myths
entrepreneur magazinelinks has a great article titled "Small-Business Myths Busted" that contains 10 great myths.

You do need to remember that Entrepreneur magazine is a US based magazine. Their first two myths "The government has grants for startups." and "The SBA loans money directly to small businesses." do not apply to Canadian businesses or business owners.

As I have written in the past there are some grant programs in Canada that tend to be focused on helping specific types of entrepreneurs.

But the other eight myths are worth reading the article because they link to articles and helpful tips.

If you have ever thought that being in business would give you more time, get money for your startup from a venture capitalist, you will be able to write off everything, you can pay yourself whatever you want, if I create a website the customers will come, I am an expert so I will be profitable, my product sells itself, I am self-funding and do not need a business plan - make sure to read this article!
