Need a Business Start-Up Assistant?
Filed in archive Startup on February 1, 2007
Starting a business involves a combination of tasks and projects. The Federal government of canada has developed a Business Start-Up Assistant that will connect you to business start-up information from the federal and provincial governments.
The site has links to information about choosing a business structure including Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Incorporation, Cooperatives, Not-for-Profit, and Franchising.
They have also recognized the importance of home based businesses by creating content on how to start a home based business. You will also find links to taxation, hiring employees, import/export, trademarks, copyright, and managing a business. You can also find links to your local municipal government website as well. Visit and bookmark this one if plan to start a business or just began operations.
Poke around and you might learn something about financing, help with importing, exporting, to tips on starting a specific business.
