Startup Update: Ten Businesses To Watch From One Year Ago
The Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ) has an interesting piece that updates readers on the 10 companies selected by the OBJ in January as Startups to Watch.

Looks like these 10 did pretty good overall.

The 2006 installment of Startups to Watch published almost a year ago highlighted 10 companies that looked like they had the necessary ingredients to succeed.

That doesn't mean there weren't others out there in stealth mode or that simply didn't register, for one reason or another they just fell under the radar. Via OBJ

Some of the key milestones mentioned in the article include building out infrastructure, new contracts, license agreements, developed new products, inking deals with key service providers, inventing a new integrated circuit, adding employees, introducing new products, and growing the executive team.

Most of the startups OBJ was watching were software or high technology related businesses. What this article shows is how important it is to make progress in developing your business and the different types of strategies used. Which of these strategies could you apply to your own business?
