I stumbled upon a wonderful resource for leadership. It is the Center for Creative Leadership. On September 21, 2006 from 1-2 PM (ET) they are putting on a webinar, "Implementing an Effective Succession Process". The cost is $50 and will be facilitated by David Berke who is senior faculty member at the San Diego campus at the Center for Creative Leadership.

With the number of employees, executives, and mangers retiring in the next decade a succession plan will help you to weather the tsunami of leadership changeover by helping you understand what a succession plan is and how to go about implementing one.

Many organizations in North America and the rest of the world soon will be facing a significant number of retirements. And, simply put, there will not be enough people to replace those who are leaving.
